I was pulled over at 1:30am on Thursday November, 14th for speeding. After taking my information the officer suspected me of consuming alcohol and asked me to get out of my vehicle. I was then given the sobriety field tests and a breathalizer. I was charged with an OWI and taken into custody. There were two passengers in my vehicle with me.

(Oshkosh, Wisconsin) Winnebago county

I got pulled over on December 9th at about 3AM. Yes I was drinking and going about 10 over the speed limit. I was speeding because I wasn't aware of what the speed limit was. I am from the Milwaukee area and the speed limits are much higher then in Oshkosh.I would like for my case to get dismissed, so I don't get my licence suspended and so o don't have to install the IID device in my vehicle. I have learned my lesson

(Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin) Columbia county

I was pulled over for allegedy speeding 1 mile baack. When I asked him to show me the radar reading he then proceeded to try and get an OWI. I had three beers and have reciepts and written proof to the fact. The officer told me he doesn't have to show me anything. At that point I refused to give him anything else. I later did a breathalizer at the SAUK county Sherrif's jail. I blew a 0.00 three times and was released. The difference in time was three hours. I have the report and video. The report has the wrong color car, and the wrong street of the occurance.

(De Pere, Wisconsin) Brown county

I work and temporarily live in Milwaulkee for work. I had to go back up to De Pere to continue on moving out of my apartment because of the recent breakup from an almost 6 year relationship. I needed some time off from packing so decided to meet up with a friend in Appleton. We had gone to an establishment named The Bar to get something to eat and depending on the mood, have a drink or two. I had eaten roughly half of this meal called the Tower of Fries which is basically 4 orders of fries, a cup of cheese, a lot of bacon, and some onions. A very large meal for myself, though I was in the mood for something sweet so I had myself a beverage called a Cake Float. its about a shot of Cake UV, filled to the top with root beer and two shots of basic coffee creamer. I had two of those after the meal and a captain and coke before the meal. I still had food left and I continued to eat it even when we had left. We did a lot of different things after that like car browsing at the localcar dealerships, and had also gone into Van Vreedes so my friend could show me the furniture that her and her boyfriend are looking to get in their new apartment. After about two hours of messing around, we had gone back to her boyfriend's vehicle (where I had picked her up) to wait for him to finish work so we could all go out and do something. Well he apparently had a while left to work so since his battery was dead, I decided to jump it for him. Her and I then took the vehicle to the gas station so she could pick up cigarettes for herself. He finally showed up and we sat there in the parking lot figuring out what we were to do for the night. They wanted to go have a couple of drinks so we went to this bar that I have never been to (which is almost every bar in the Appleton area) before, so we were off. After getting there I had ordered one beer and then for the rest of the night I had three captain and cokes. Those last four drinks were over a 7 hour period. I get chronic heartburn but take nothing for it so I burp a lot to try and relieve the pain in my chest. With those fries in my system mixed with the alcoholic beverages, my heartburn made me think it was burning a hole in my throat. After that started to happen, I decided that my night was over, so I left. That was another stupid choice because I had no idea where I was headed to. My friends just got a new apartment and planned on staying there so I was trying to find this place. Unfortunetally, my GPS is on my phone so I had that sitting in my lap while I was driving. My phone screen stays on when the navigation is working and at that time of the night, it had lit up the inside of my car as if I had been texting. I realized I had gotten myself lost because I had the wrong address in the gps, so I had pulled off on to a side street then into a vacant buisness's driveway to call my friend and re-type the address in. I had obeyed all the traffic laws and speed limits, used my directionals, and came to complete stops. In that driveway was when the police officer turned his lights on, and when that happened, my heart dropped. It was a terrible feeling! He had approached and immediately asked me about playing with or using my phone. I said no because I wasnt playing with it, I was following the directions on the screen. He had taken my license and insurance and proceeded back to the car to do what seemed like writing me a texting and driving ticket even though I hadnt been texting. He then came back and and asked if I had been drinking and I agreed, he then told me to step out of the car. All I was wearing was a little spring jacket and a t-shirts underneath that, with the 40 degrees it was that night and the 25-35mph wind gusts, it was needless to say cold outside. I had been instructed to take the sobriety tests in the bad weather on an uneven driveway, Yeah I guarantee that I would fail that. I had to convince the officer that I was cold and would like to put on a sweatshirt underneath my jacket. They finally went into my car and tossed me a sweatshirt but made me put it on over my jacket. No big deal. I was then asked about taking the blood test. I consented, was arrested, and was then taken to the hospital to get the test done. I took the test and he then gave me my ticket and sent me on my way with my friends when they arrived at the hospital. I understand the severity of this situation and because of my CDL, I could lose my job and future employment with other companies in this field. This is my first offense and definitely the last but is there anything that can be done with this or is this just something I should just claim guilty with?

I was foolishly driving home from the bar in a town i am not familiar with. I was going the speed limit, all my lights were working, I was not driving erraticly, and I had not (other than driving drunk) broken any driving laws. I however did try to change a song on my phones music player and accidently hit an ad in the specific ad-based music player. Doing that ended up lighting the inside of my car making it look as if I had been on my phone texting. After that happened I had figured it would just be easier to pull off the main road to pull over and not only change my music but to type in the correct address in my GPS (which is on my phone). That is when a police officer had turned his lights on behind me and approached the car. His first few questions were basic (How are you doing tonight? and Where are you headed?). No suspicion that I was drinking or under the influence. He then started questioning me pretty hard about using my phone, with good reaso n given the current laws on texting and driving. Though he was making that seem like it was the main and only reason he pulled me over, UNTIL I had studdered a couple words, it then went down hill from there. I had been fully cooperative the whole time, I had given them the breathalyzer when he asked, I did the sobriety tests as directed, and when I had been arrested and taken to the hospital to do a BAC test or blood withdrawal i had gone and done that. I am a very responsible person other than this wrong doing, and I am curious on how badly I had sealed my fate and future given the fact I have a CDL but I was driving a car not truck.

(Antigo, Wisconsin) Langlade county

I was pulled over around 1:00 A.M. just entering the city limits, 4 blocks from home. There had been no cars following me for the previous 30 miles. The officer that stopped me claims that they had received an anonymous tip that I had been driving eradically. I explained to the officer that there must be someone they were looking for, because I had just driven around 60 miles with no one behind me. The officer then stated that he could smell alcohol even though he stood back several feet from my vehicle. After I refused to exit my vehicle, other officer busted out my passenger window to open my van and drag me out. I did do a blood test under protest. I know that I had some alcohol during the evening, but was stunned at what they claimed were the results. I do not believe the test results, and I do not believe they had the right to pull me over in the first place

Summary:5th owiCase description:I was leaving the fairfield inn hotel from a wedding and got pulled over. my last conviction was over 5 years ago. I have a 5 year old son who I stay home with. I need help please!

(Stevens Point, Wisconsin) Portage county

Apparently was deviating between lanes, which I do not recall doing. Was stopped, given a breathalizer, blew a 0.00 TWICE, yet they still took me in, and cited me with a OWI, which I feel is erroneous and baseless, given I blew not ONE but TWO 0.00. I am on prescription medication which I have proof of if need be, but Alcohol WAS NOT present.
