I was traveling down Bragg Blvd headed towards downtown, coasting down hill I when I saw the police car pull out and turn around behind me. I pulled over on Pearl street after the arresting officer flashed her lights. The officer asked for my license and vehicle information, I fumbled a bit looking for it but then she asked me to step out of my car and had me perform a field sobriety test. I was arrested, my vehicle left parked on Pearl street, and called my friend to meet me at the court house after I was processed. I was as cooperative as I could be, never argued or struggled with any of the officers. I was released on an unsecured bond, payed the 100 dollar fine to get my license back 30 days later.I am no longer in the military and was on terminal leave when I was arrested but am currently living in Austin, TX as a full time student.

I was in an accident monday night with a telephone pole. I woke up in my car at about 7:00 AM to multiple cops. I have no memory of the accident and was passed out in my car. However, I was not drunk. I had a single drink that night and most likely fell asleep at the wheel or tried to avoid something. The authorities were/are convinced I was heavily intoxicated so they issued me a field sobriety test to which I consented because I knew I wasn't drunk. I suppose I passed but "he could tell I was drinking." They didn't ask me to consent to any other testing. I went to the ER last night and was diagnosed with a "significant" grade 2 concussion, which explains being passed out and not remembering the accident. The cop said before leaving the scene that he was going to attempt to attain a warrant and arrest me at my house. Now armed with my medical diagnosis, should I be concerned about being arrested?

Summary:got a raw deal all way aroundCase description:i passed my field test correctly, so why do i have to incriminate my self by them getting my blood? if you murder someone and plead the 5th, they can't get a search warrant and give you a drug to make you confess!!! the officer that pulled me over said my brake light was out. when i picked my bike up at yhe impound, i had 3 witnesses that saw that it was working.

I had a dui in the state of Illinois 22 years ago and had to more in another state 12years ago and none sense but know Illinois has a mandatory life time hold on my Lu ewe for driving through there state when I was a kid I have had know choice but to drive without a license for twelve years mostly my. Wife would drive but now my wife is disabled and we have know one to take us anywhere and I have. Know choice but to break the law I don't know. What else to do I haven't drank in at least 12 years and am a law bidding peson and family i don't want to break the law but will loose everything if I don't what can I do I will do anything can any one help

I am a commercial driver, was backing in blindsided to make a pickup and backed in to a truck i couldn't see. I worked things out with the truck owner and another truck driver came over running his mouth, I told him to mind his own business, he in turn called the police, 6 officers showed up and decided they were going to arrest me for dwi cause they thought they smelled alcohol. I passed a field sobriety test with flying colors, they didnt give a breathalyzer but took me to a hospital where I sat for 2 hours then they took me to a second hospital where they finally got my blood drawn. I was pulled over by a police officer because he spotted vomit on the side of my truck not from erratic driving. I took a brethalizer test by the officer and he asked me to walk a straight line I omitted to drinking I then went in peacefully did everything I was asked then the next morning I was bailed out. After my sentencing, I lost my job and because my license was suspended and the lack of jobs due to our current specials economic status It would be almost a full year before I got hired. I've done everything the state of Texas required from me with the exception of paying off my balance owed for my mistake. I have 1300 to pay off by the end of November and have no more extensions left I just need a little more time to pay it off. This is my first offense other then some traffic tickets (speeding, and no seat belt). I work hard I'm just having trouble making ends meet I find hard to believe that I should have to do jail time for this. Please someone help me out there my family needs me. I will do anything it takes to get this right.

My Nephew pled guilty to 2 dwi's in 1984.He was arrested in late July or Early August 2011 and charged with dwi. Was indited by Grand Jury for 3rd offense. Also used same dwi convictions to enhance 2nd offender status. Is this legal?
