Arrested Sunday night with only 5 drinks prior (over a 7 hr period). Stopped to have food at Mac 24/7 in Waikiki. pulled over on the H1/H201 intersection on the way to Pearl City for speeding. During the field sobriety test i honestly felt i has passed, however, they made me breathe into a machine on the side of the road, they stated BAC was 3X legal limit, and when they took the official blood test in the office, they were trying to heavily talk me out of it and take the Breathalyzer. I opted for the blood test on gut because I was seriously way too in control of my body to trust another 3X result from a breathing machine.

Weds evening, I drank 2 8% 40oz beers. On Thursday morning, I woke up and realized that I had another left. I had been having major shoulder pains from a work injury and decided to drink to take away the pain. I decided to call in sick on Thursday and finish the last 40 oz beer. I fell asleep for a few hours. at about 8 PM, or so, I took an 800 MG motrin and decided to drive down the street to my friends house. I had to get onto the highway to do that. I ended up getting sleepy while driving and veered into oncoming traffic. I grazed one care and crashed into another one. I was completely knocked out and woke up in the hospital. I had a bunch of bandaids where they tried to take blood and the officer sitting at my bedside told me that my blood alcohol level was 3.0. He also told me that I hit two cars. Mine and another one were both totalled. I was the only person hurt. That is the whole story.

I drove from one lighed parking lot to another and I had failed to turn on my headlights, as I was parking I noticed an officer flashing his lights at me, when asked if I knew as to why I was being pulled over, I was unaware my lights were off. I was also driving a rental car because my car had just been totaled due to someone rear-ending me.I was asked to walk to line which I passed but I failed to stand on one foot, the officer then proceeded to arrest me and took me in to the station where I performed the breathilizer test. I was so distraught that I am not sure what my alcohol content was.I am worried that this will affect my job being as I work at the airport for a private FBO company that requires me to be constantly driving.

was living out in Hawaii at the time of the incident. April 29th, 2008. was designated driver for wedding party from Australia. I was using my (then) son-in-law's car and I did not know that his registration had not been renewed since he just purchased the car from a naval friend. When leaving that evening from the reception, after having a couple of glasses of wine, I was stopped due to the registration being out of date. I had one friend from Ireland with me and the rest were following...we were all going to a resturant to eat. I was asked to take breathalizer and refused because me being a nurse in my home state of Texas for 17 years, did not really trust this "road side" was of testing someone. when I refused, they took me to the station where there they confinced me to go ahead and take the breathalizer... I believe the score was 0.10, which the officer told me to just post the bail, $500 and since I was moving back to the mainland in 3 weeks and woul d not be able to make the court date, to maybe ge an attorney's advice...I hired an attorney, paid him $1500 and he postponed the court date finally until July of 2009...since I was back in Texas and working 2 nursing jobs, I could not get out there to the court date... I asked my attorney what would happen and he stated that it would just be a bench warrant issued and after a couple of years probably just be discarded.... this is what I did and never heard anything back about it....well, Sept. 2009, my 14 month old grandson died of head trauma caused by my navy diver (then) son-in-law. at the same time, my 3yr old granddaughter was removed from their home and placed in foster care... (you might have read about it in the Honolulu staradvisor)...to this day, she has not seen any of her family and spoke with them... the cps in Hawaii made some very huge errors and continued to try and cover these up... for the past 2 years, I have been out there to family court on 9 different occassions and the final custody court hearing is coming up...my dui was pulled up by the cps dept and they are now using this against me... my family law attorney out there told me yest that the family court judge could have me arrested if he wanted to and that I needed to clear this bench warrant up.... I need to know how I will be able to do this in a 2-3 week period.. I called my previous attorney out there that I had for this but he is out of office on vacation for a few weeks... so I am seekng other counsel to try and help me clear this matter up the quickest way possible... for this being so old now (3 yrs) and the obvious back log of bench warrants in Honolulu, can I maybe get an attorney to get this on a lesser charge and pay a fine since I have not been a resident of Hawaii since 2008?please advise me asap.
