When I looked for a lawyer to take my case, I decided to take on Mr. Bortel due to the fact that he was prompt in returning my inquiries. I also felt like he was honest in his pricing, knowledge and skill base.
All throughout this harrowing process, Mr. Bortel kept me at ease, kept me on the road and came through with his promises. His skill in negotiating my case due to his solid reputation with his peers and ability was paramount to getting my charges reduced and being able to move on from this unfortunate incident.
Mr. Bortel also worked with me financially. He set up a payment plan and was very flexible and kind if I trouble making the monthly bill.
Although i plan on not using Mr. Bortel's services in the future, I would wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone who requires his assistance.

Aaron was incredibly helpful and understanding throughout the entire process. I had gotten a DUI after making a wrong turn and getting stuck between the gates of a DUI checkpoint. I blew just over a .08, and later the blood work came back at .09. I hired Aaron to handle my case and I couldn't be more pleased that I did. Not only did he get all charges dropped from the county, but from the DMV as well. No loss of license, no fines, no alcohol classes, nothing! Aaron was supportive and responsive, and I would strongly recommend that anyone who is going through this work with Aaron. He will save you a lot of stress and personal anguish... take it from me!

When I was arrested for my DUI, the first thing I did when I got home was to start calling lawyers specializing in DUI cases. Of the offices I called, a couple mentioned Aaron in passing becuase he had recently won a particularly difficult case with the city of San Francisco. After hearing this, I called Aaron back and set up an appointment.

Aaron was very knowledgeable and personable. He put a lot of my fears and ease and talked my through a lot of my angst over what the process was, what I could expect and what I should do. He walked me through the best and worst case scenarios as well some more likely scenarios (neither best or worst case). He seemed especially knowledgable on the science side of things (toxicology, blood work, etc).

Aaron was a busy guy throughout the case but was always prompt to respond to emails. In the end, Aaron won my criminal case and my DMV hearing.

I hope I don't need him again....but he will stay in my phonebook, just in case.

This lawyer was recommended to my fiance by a friend and couldn't have fulfilled our expectations more. Upon the first visit he was highly knowledgeable of the proceedings and what was to happen after the incident. He made us feel comfortable, confident, and secure, while at the same time not making huge claims right from the beginning. He gave off the impression of experience in this field and won our case for us. He is easy to talk to, thorough, understanding, and does not make you feel inferior.
